YLLO Turmeric Scrub/Face Mask

Hey there! Today’s topic is one I love: Face Masks. But today’s product is unlike any face mask I’ve ever used. Why?

It’s yellow.

YLLO Turmeric Scrub affords us the opportunity to see what we would look like as Sponge Bob…or Lisa Simpson.  The product’s main ingredient is the same ancient spice that causes our favorite Indian Curry dishes to look so appetizingly sunny-hued: Turmeric.

I’ve been cooking with turmeric for some time now.  Even prior to switching over to veganism, I loved the taste (not to mention the numerous health benefits). However, the topical skin-benefits were a mystery to me until now.

Per their website  ▶︎www.ylloscrub.com◀︎ this product has numerous benefits:

  • Reduces acne and rosacea
  • Fades acne scarring
  • Evens out skin tone
  • Controls oily skin
  • Slows and eliminates facial hair growth
  • Keeps skin young, tight and vibrant
  • Reduces fine lines and wrinkles

Personally, my first test of face masks is quite basic: Does it cause me to further break-out? Does it exacerbate my issues?  I have sensitive skin, so I am always cautious to apply new products.

My first experience with this product was exceptional.  I did not break out (yay!).  In fact, after rinsing, my skin looked shockingly better.  Redness from blemishes had faded and my skin tone was much more even.

I continued using this product twice per week for about 3 weeks-month before writing this review and I can honestly say: Two thumbs up! 👍👍
